Meet the team…
Laura is about to embark on a Masters in Creative Producing at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. When she isn’t seeing or talking and writing about theatre, Laura can be found watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, walking her dog and talking about Australia.
Serena likes piña coladas and getting caught in the rain (sort of), she likes the feel of the ocean and the taste of champagne (she also likes candid photos). Gig-goer and music enthusiast, Serena is a Content Writer who spends her time sipping lemon & ginger tea whilst figuring out what she wants to do with her life.
Alice currently works at MTV as a Talent and Music Intern. After moving from Glasgow to London, she enjoys exploring the music scene and nightlife that “The Big Smoke” has to offer. Music, travel, fashion and empowerment is what she is all about and her hair is full of secrets.
Hope is currently studying for an MFA in New York. She likes salt and vinegar Squares, magical realism, and stalking people on Instagram.
As a fan of lipstick and vintage fashion, Reb spends her spare time running a channel on leading a low-waste lifestyle via secondhand style and vegan beauty. She’s also currently wrapping up her business degree in Nottingham and looks forward to a graduate life of stroking animals and playing with makeup. That’s an accurate idea of what graduate life is like, right?? Oh, and she also enjoys hot beverages. All of the hot beverages.
Lowri is currently doing an MA in London. She spends her spare time listening to One Direction, watching The Office and on Twitter. She finds writing about herself in the third person odd.
Kate currently lives in London and does Eventy Stuff at the Roundhouse. She loves music, naps and RuPaul’s Drag Race. Her favourite people are Laura Marling, Harry Styles, and any anyone who brings her food.
Charlie is Temper Femina’s Trinidadian correspondent (although she currently lives in London). She loves dancing, travelling and all things music. Her celebrity crush is Alex Turner and her favourite print is floral. After graduating with an in MA English Literature last year, she doesn’t know what she’s doing in life and is hoping to find the answer soon.
Celine left Bristol with a degree in history and a collection of objectively ugly clothes. She loves Agatha Christie, movies about high school, and James McAvoy in Atonement. This year she aims to learn medieval loom weaving and find herself in South America.
Sophie is a graphic designer in London. She’s a David Attenborough-enthusiast who likes mountains, creamy pasta, 80’s punk, and a nice Slab Serif.
Her humour is mostly obscure Simpsons references and she still doesn’t know whether to go for a hug or a handshake.
Alys is a final year English student who enjoys amateur fern-care, climbing, and anything else that will help distract her from her degree. Current projects include: making unnecessary purchases online, and making one-woman productions on Snapchat that no one asked to receive (but for which they are eternally grateful).
Helana (huh-lay-nah) is finishing up her English Literature and French degree in Exeter. She likes theatre and grey knitwear and has a lot of opinions.
Beccy is on the cusp of graduating from University of Exeter with a Psychology with Sport & Exercise Science degree, which she does not plan on using. Instead, she is attempting to pursue a career in radio and/or music. She loves adventures, live music, dogs and fulfilling every Northern stereotype she can.
Liv is in her first year at Exeter Uni studying French & Spanish and enjoying presenting on the student radio about women in sport. Most of her time is spent playing hockey or running. She loves extreme challenges – since recently completing her first marathon – and is currently planning another adventure. She fuels all her escapades with a good chilli con carne and a nice cup of tea.
Sarah works as a journalist in Essex and East London, where she specialises in being a nuisance to everyone in a twenty-mile radius and making a mediocre cup of coffee. In her spare time, she specialises in making sad music, researching elaborate holidays she can’t afford, shouting about politics to anyone who will listen after exactly 1.5 glasses of wine, and bread.
We also have a number of other contributors who share their thoughts on Temper Femina. If you want to be one of them, please contact us on Facebook or email us at email@example.com.
